Abstract
This paper reports the first record of the Prostomidae family, the genus Prostomis and the species Prostomis mandibularis (Fabricius, 1801) in the fauna of the Republic of Moldova. P. mandibularis (Fabricius, 1801), is a rare saproxylic species, indicative of old deciduous forests.
