Abstract
To ensure electromagnetic compatibility, an approach is proposed based on the formation of calculated data while taking into account the required shielding efficiency and economic feasibility obtained from the results of a limited number of measurements during instrumental control of the electromagnetic environment and computer modeling of the electromagnetic field under the conditions of separate and combined influence of several sources of the electromagnetic field. The results of the analysis of known materials and types of constructions of shielding installations used to reduce the intensity of various components of the electromagnetic field in a wide frequency range under conditions of separate and combined influence are presented. The criteria for choosing the protective characteristics of shielding devices are considered. An assessment of the economic feasibility of choosing standard conductive and additional materials for the formation of protective screens is given. The necessity of optimizing the choice of protective devices by changing the degree of priority of the main properties and operational characteristics of shielding materials is substantiated.
