Abstract
Schiff bases derived from amino acids and their corresponding metal complexes have been widely
studied in different ways and have increased attention of chemists in biological, pharmaceutical and
biochemical fields due to their easy synthesis and broad spectrum of applications. In this review, we
have focused on the synthesis and biological evaluation involving antifungal, antibacterial, anticancer,
antioxidant and antidiabetic activities of some amino acid derived Schiff bases and their respective
metal complexes
