Abstract
Recently growing demand for cleaner, direct even more regioselective reaction sequences, the formation
of carbon-carbon or carbon-heteroatom bonds through C-H activation has developed as a unique
methodology. Since the pioneering work of Daugulis on the use of the 8-aminoquinoline auxiliaries as
removable bidentate directing groups in palladium-catalyzed C-H bond activations has emerged as a
ground breaking strategy for the construction of carbon-carbon or carbon-heteroatom bonds. Hence,
this review intends to cover most of the recent advances on 8-aminoquinoline directed
palladium-catalyzed C(sp3)/C(sp2)–H bonds functionalizations and highlighted the synthesis of
C-branched glycosides.
