Abstract
Endometrial hyperplasia treatment depends on many factors and requires an integrated approach to the treatment, taking into account individual characteristics of the patient.
Classification of endometrial and uterine hyperplasic processes was based on taking into account not only morphological data, but also clinical results, endocrine, and cytological studies. Our research data showed that levonogestrel containing intrauterine device (IUD) is an effective medical method of treatment of menorhagia and hypermenstrual syndrome. After IUD insertion, increase in the level of hemoglobin and whey ferritin has been registered. Hormonal IUD is a reliable, safe method of prevention of the recurrent hyperplasia, endometrial polyps and other pathology of the uterine cavity. After insertion of IUD, women develop amenorrhea, but saved ovulation. After removing the IUD, fertility and menstrual cycle are completely restored. Thanks to the low level of drug concentration in the whey, systemic action of progesterone is minimal. The use of LNH – IUD (Mirena) for treatment of hyperplasic processes decreases the dysmenorrheal severity. Mirena significantly decreases the risk of menstrual bleeding, protects development of endometrial hyperplasia.
