Abstract
Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. has developed a highly efficient solid oxide fuel cell system by increasing the fuel utilization rate using two-stage stacks and fuel regeneration. To reduce more CO2 emission, we focused on the fuel recycle system and the separation membrane, which removes both steam and carbon dioxide. In this study, we assembled and evaluated the hot module with the separation membrane. The power generation results show DC efficiency of 77.3%LHV at a gross power output of 5.65 kW. The CO2 separation membrane performed 85.2% of CO2 recovery rate from calculation. In addition, CO2 emission factor reached as small as 294 g-CO2/kWh from DC power generation.
