Abstract
The research is to establish the usefulness of narrative approach in ELT classroom amongst B.Tech. first year engineering students from Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute in enriching the language skills of English utilizing the digital short stories. As narration is part of their syllabus for the first-year engineering students, they were chosen as the samples. The narrative approach helps the learners in developing cognitive skills, as the brain completes the process fast and competent enough. It also helps to perform better in every aspects of life. After the intervention of digital short stories, the attention skills helps to stay on the task and make the learners an active listener who improves good relationships. This approach builds the logic and reasoning skills to generate creative solutions in complex challenges.
