Abstract
Petroleum supplies will be in increasingly higher demand as heavily populated developing countries expand their economies and become more energy intensive. This problem is exacerbated because the U.S. alone consumes a disproportionately higher fraction (more than the next five highest consuming nations) of the petroleum supply.
