Abstract
This work is focused on the mechanistic aspects of the redox behavior of the poly-(Azure A) in KNO3:KCl mixed aqueous solutions taking advantage of the controlled modulation of their oxidation states by ac-electrogravimetry. The ac-electrogravimetry measurements is well suited to study and to control the transfer of the ions and solvent during the redox processes in this complex system with two active sites and the simultaneous transfer of two different anions (and). The intensive analysis shows that the anions transfers are dependent on the oxidation state of the PAA in these experimental conditions for the two electroactive sites inside polymer. The solvent play an important role in mass changes of the PAA whose insertion/expulsion transfer is coupled with each kind of anion but in contrary sense.
