Abstract
Wearable sensors, also known as wearable health devices (WHD), are already changing healthcare and medicine by allowing patients to monitor their health outside of the clinic. It is incredibly beneficial for people to keep a better track of their health status for self-care. Providing more data to physicians for earlier diagnosis and treatment is also important at the medical level. It will aid in the non-invasive tracking of human health signs. We evaluated significant areas of the WHDs field in this research, including the current state of wearable vital sign sensor technology. Wearable health devices can help with metabolic, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal health, as well as sleep monitoring, neurology, movement disorders, mental health, maternal, prenatal and neonatal care, and pulmonary health and environmental exposures.
