Enhanced Efficiency with Autonomous Oscillations: Challenges for DAFC

Abstract

Electroxidation of CO-containing hydrogen exhibited enhanced efficiency with autonomous oscillations compared to the usual steady stationary state [A. Mota, Kinetic Instabilities during Electroxidation of CO-containing Hydrogen, p. 116, LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing, Germany (2013) and The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 117, 12495 (2013)]. Moreover, CO-containing-hydrogen oscillating mechanism is a mimetic for autonomous oscillations during small-molecules electroxidation; therefore, the same enhanced efficiency under autonomous oscillations should be present. In this context, this contribution is dedicated to formally extend the analyses on the enhance defficiency over the oscillating electroxidation of small molecules.
