Abstract
Predicting the rate of chemical reactions on the basis of reorganization energies and driving force is a fundamental challenge in all areas of chemistry and biochemistry. Considerable achievements in this regard have been reached in the area of electron transfer (ET) processes, thanks to the Marcus theory of ET and related treatments.
