An Unusual Presentation of a Neck Dermoid Cyst

Abstract

ABSTRACT Dermoid cysts are cystic malformations lined with squamous epithelium and constitute 1.6 to 6.9% of all cysts in the head and neck area. Within head and neck region, they are predominantly found in orbital, oral and nasal regions (over 80%) and remainder found in occipital, frontal, lip, neck, soft palate. Dermoid cysts are benign lesions usually presenting as a mid line neck mass. They rarely appear in lateral region. So, the purpose of this report is to present and discuss a rare case of posterolateral cervical dermoid cyst. How to cite this article Bhateja S, Arora G.
