Abstract

The purpose of this work was to establish the relationship between the kinetics of the process of foaming polymer compositions with the kinetics of decomposition of the foaming agent and the viscosity of the foamed melts. The influence of the melt viscosity on the growth rate of the foaming coefficient of polyethylene compositions containing the foaming agent azodicarbonamide has been studied. Mathematical models are proposed that describe the kinetics of foaming polymer melts with different viscosities by blowing agents, which make it possible to optimize the technological parameters of their non-press and press foaming.
