Abstract

Background: Clean and healthy living behavior significantly influences students’ lives at school, serving as an initial step towards embracing adult life. Prioritizing health and enhancing the learning experience are crucial and positive actions. However, some schools encounter challenges in effectively implementing the School Health Clinic program, which can impact both program execution and student well-being. Purpose: The research aimed to assess the extent of the School Health Clinic program’s influence on clean and healthy living behavior among elementary school students. Design/methodology/approach: This quantitative study involved a population of 136 students from 17 Best Agro Private Elementary School, with a sample of 61 fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students selected through purposive sampling. The research method employed the questionnaire technique, with subsequent data analysis utilizing statistical and descriptive analysis techniques, including percentages. The t-test was used for data analysis. Results and Conclusion: The study results indicate that the School Health Clinic program significantly influences clean and healthy living behavior, as evidenced by a t-count value (2.152) exceeding the t-table value (2.000). Consequently, the hypothesis was accepted, affirming the substantial impact of the School Health Clinic program on clean and healthy living behavior. Future research is encouraged to further enhance the School Health Clinic program’s effectiveness, expand the sample size and coverage area, and generate widely applicable results.
