Abstract
In this study, the chemical composition, condensed tannin (CT) content, total gas (TG) production, metabolic energy (ME) and organic matter digestibility (OMD) by monthly of honey locust (Gleditsia tricanthos) leaves were determined in vitro gas production technique. The leaves of honey locust trees showed significant changes in terms of the mentioned values according to the montly. The values of honey locust tree leaves were between crude protein (CP) 5.59-19.48%, crude fat 3.64-9.71 acid detergent fiber (ADF) 23.54-34.52%, neutral detergent fiber (NDF) 38.58-49.00%, condensed tannins 13.86-19.35%, total gas production 27.41-41.43 ml, metabolic energy values 6.52-8.99 mjkg-1 DM and organic matter digestibility 49.43-64.50%, and these changes were found to be significant (p
