Infection rate and parasitoids of the harmful Almond Seed Wasp Eurytoma amygdali Enderlein (Hymenoptera: Eurytomidae) in almonds in Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman Provinces

Abstract

This work; among the harmful insect species that cause significant yield losses in almond orchards in Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman provinces between 2016-2017, Almond Seed Wasp Euytoma amygdali End. (Hymenoptera: Eurytomidae) to determine the infestation rate and parasitoids. It was determined that the general infestation rate of E. amygdali in the almond orchards where the study was carried out varied between 24.26 and 47.33%. While it was determined that the most infestation with the pest was in Gaziantep-Şehitkamil district, the least infestation was in Gaziantep-Şehitkamil district. In addition, Adontomerus amygdali (Boucek, 1958) (Hym.: Torymidae), Aprostocetus bucculentus (Kostjukov) (Hym.: Eulophidae) and Gugolzia bademia (Doganlar) (Hym.: Pteromalidae), the parasitoid of E. amygdali, were determined in the study area. Most parasitoids; It was obtained from Besni district of Adıyaman province; it has been determined that the populations of these parasitoid species are not at a level to control the pest.
