Abstract

In today's business life, the power of human resources cannot be denied in achieving the desired efficiency. It has become an important fact that the job meets the spiritual needs as well as the material needs. It is possible for the employee to do his/her job lovingly, willingly and adopting him/herself and seeing himself/herself as a part of the organization. Thus, the work done and the employee are identified. The employee who integrates with his work is also enthusiastic and full of energy towards his work, and becomes creative and lively in his work. He is vigorous and strong while performing his profession. These concepts constitute clues to professional vitality. In the study, it was aimed to investigate the effect of the identification/self-integration dimension of psychological ownership on professional vitality. The sample group of the research consists of 149 pharmacists working in Samsun. Research data were obtained by questionnaire method and analyzed with SPSS program. In the light of the data obtained, it was concluded that the integration of pharmacists with their professions has a significant effect on their professional vitality levels.
