Abstract
The article considers the topical issue of assessing the value and motivational sphere, in particular in the field of information security. The article aims to search for a verified methodology for studying personal values, applicable, among other things, in public authorities to obtain objective information in the field of potential risks associated with information security. The methodological basis of the research is the analysis of the federal regulatory and methodological base, methods for assessing values (self-reporting questionnaires, projective and psycho-semantic techniques). The results of the study substantiate the use of the Schwartz method in its refined version and present its possibilities and use limitations in public authorities. The authors propose to use the procedures for assessing value and motivational attitudes on the basis of the federal unified information system for managing personnel of the state civil service of Russia.
