Abstract
Accidental salicylate poisoning is becoming less common than it was three decades ago. There was a dramatic drop in the number of children who had this condition in countries where using childproof caps and limiting the number of pills per package was legalized and implemented.1 In some other countries, salicylate still remains a common cause of accidental poisoning among children.2,3 Salicylate intoxication almost always happens after oral ingestion.
