Abstract
Psychogenic polydipsia can occur in infants and may be associated with urinary tract dilation. It is not known whether this dilation can lead to a decline in renal function, as has been reported in patients with diabetes insipidus and hydronephrosis.11,13,14 The structural changes may be reversed by treatment of polydipsia through fluid restriction and counseling.
