Abstract
The association of retinoblastoma with Down's syndrome has been described previously but the incidence of these two conditions coupled with celiac disease is either rare or such cases are not being cited in the literature. I have not to date seen a case reported of celiac disease and mongolism and so wish to describe the problems of a male mongoloid with these conditions.
CASE REPORT
At the age of 2 years he was noted to have a moving opacity behind his right pupil with a grey reflex. As a consequence of these ominous findings, the eye was enucleated for a suspected tumor and pathology confirmed a retinoblastoma endophytum with seedling deposits scattered throughout the vitreous and anterior chambers.
