Abstract

The article considers modern approaches to the definition of the essence of the concept of “civic identity”. It reveals the difficulties on the way of its formation among modern citizens of Russia. This problem becomes especially relevant given the entry of new subjects into Russia. However, compared to the traditional Russian regions, there is an understanding and specific systemic measures and approaches to the formation of civic identity among young people, while in relation to the territory of new subjects similar issues do not have a universal solution and are still under development
