Abstract
AbstractRadar returns from valley side-walls may complicate the identification of the glacier bed when examining airborne radio-echo sounding (RES) records. We describe simple visualization techniques for aiding analysis of RES data with the aim of resolving these ambiguities, making use of high-resolution satellite imagery. An application of the technique is illustrated using RES data obtained from part of Stygge Glacier, Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canada.
