Abstract
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the effects of obesity on physical function and quality of life in elderly women. Methods: The sample of the study consisted of 90 elderly women living in Isparta provinence. The subjects included in the study were divided into 3 groups according to their body mass index (Group I: normal, Group II: overweight, Group III: obese).The physical activity scale for the elderly, short physical performance test battery, SF-12 quality of life questionnaire, timed up and go test and a scale that questions the difficulties of individuals experience in daily living activities were used as the evaluation methods.
