Abstract

Objective: This study was conducted to examine the effect of a Health Promotion Model-based health education program on increasing the health-promoting behaviors of acute coronary syndrome patients. Methods: This is an experimental study that used a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The sample consisted of 101 patients hospitalized with the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome in Turkey. The data were collected by using a Patient Monitoring Form and the Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile-II. While the patients in the control group received routine procedures, the patients in the experimental group were included in the health education program.
