Abstract
A system for observing hailfalls at Medford, Oregon includes a network of hail recorders and a number of volunteers who collect hail. This paper reports the area affected and the kind of stones collected in one typical hailfall of 1959. Conclusions call for more comprehensive observations in 1960.
