Abstract
A diagram giving sensations isopleths applicable to indoor workers during brief exposures to winter weather typical of the Canadian Prairies is presented. They are based on the observations of about 35 persons during two successive winters, and depend primarily on wind speed and temperature. They depart markedly from wind-chill isopleths at wind speeds above 20 mph, the higher wind speeds apparently eroding warm air from within the garments and giving a greater cooling than that indicated by the wind-chill formula.
