CONCEPT «SAFETY» IN RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH LANGUAGES

Abstract

This article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of «security» in Russian and English. The authors investigated the semantics and usage of the term «security» in both languages. The author discusses the reasons for the differences in understanding of the concept of «security» in Russian and English and points out the need to take into account the context of the use of the term in translation. The study allows us to better understand the peculiarities of the Russian and English languages and their interaction in international relations. The concept of «security» is one of the most important problems in the modern world. It affects various aspects of people's lives, including economics, politics, society and technology.
