Involving the child and young person in assessment (Learning Through Doing)

Author:

Birnbaum Ruth

Abstract

‘Learning from writing to students’ (Debate 122) was the article title that inspired Ruth Birnbaum to engage in an exchange of ideas. Her initial correspondence with the author has since led her to set up a project based on pre-involvement. In an era when the voice of the child is now enshrined in the new Code of Practice (2014), Ruth queries whether educational psychologists need to engage with the child or young person sooner rather than later.
