Abstract

The chief question I wish to raise in this paper concerns the extent to which Higher Education (HE) Institutions provide a 'good home' for professional training such as counselling, psychotherapy or counselling psychology. The ideas arise from my experience as a Senior Lecturer with special responsibility for courses in psychological counselling/ psychotherapy in a Psychology Department at a College of Higher Education.
