Abstract
Key digested message
Understanding bias and its impact on decision-making and judgement is a
contemporary issue for any modern work environment. This article explores
which selection methods are least prone to bias, how bias may be identified
and whether psychometric testing significantly reduces or increases the risk
of bias in human decision-making. It also examines whether tests are
inherently biased and asks if modern test publishers overcome the risks of
bias in order to create fair tools.
