Abstract
Schizotypy, a spectrum of personality traits connected to sub-syndromal psychosis, provides insights into foundational processes of schizophrenia and at risk mental states associated with such. This study, funded by a BPS Cognitive Section Rapid Project grant, examined cognitive deficits in adolescent schizotypy, using a multidimensional approach to measure schizotypy and assessing emotion recognition capabilities on the CANTAB™ platform. Results indicate significant cognitive deficits in emotion recognition related to various schizotypy traits, emphasizing the importance of a spectrum-based approach to understanding psychosis.
