Young people moving to a new inpatient unit: ‘When people are confused, they will get stressed, and the last thing you want is stressing teenagers’

Abstract

This paper describes a qualitative service evaluation project examining service users’ views of a relocation of an adolescent inpatient service. It focuses on what could be improved, and makes recommendations for future moves within young people’s mental health services.
