The Analysis of the Current Market State and Prospects of Tourist Services in Ukraine

Abstract

Abstract. Introduction. Tourism is one of the most prospective current economic industries. It ensures the sustainable development of many countries and their regions. Ukrainian experience of the tourist industry development is rather uneven and inconsistent. Purpose. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state of the touristic industry in Ukraine and to define the prospects of their development in dynamics. Results. The article revealed that in order to fulfill the prospects of the touristic industry development it is necessary to implement the actions as follows. It is recommended to develop the public strategies of the tourism development; to create the appropriate conditions for the development of domestic and foreign tourism; to provide the appropriate conditions for investing in the development of the tourist infrastructure; to ensure security and safety for foreign tourists; to provide qualitative medical health care; to control the rational use of the touristic territories; to provide the opportunity to use touristic products for people with special needs; to foster the development of hotel business; to improve quality of touristic products provided by domestic touristic companies. Conclusions. The authors concluded that tourism as an industry is extremely important for social and economic development in Ukraine. The touristic market obtains the development prospects related to realization of resource and recreational potential of many Ukrainian regions, its cultural and historical heritage, and optimum price policy. At the same time, the main obstacles to implement the strategy in Ukraine are the issues of touristic infrastructure, unsatisfactory conditions of touristic services, and discrepancy between Ukrainian touristic products and their international standards.
