Abstract
Data have been presented showing the applicability of indicator-dilution technique to the entire human peripheral circulation during open-heart surgery. Initial results from simultaneous tagged red cell and plasma protein indicator-dilution curves demonstrate a consistently greater volume of distribution for plasma proteins than for red cells.
