Serum Parameters as Discriminators between Normal and Coronary Groups

Abstract

Evaluation was undertaken of several measurements in discriminating between a group of clinically normal persons and a group of persons with definite atherosclerosis manifested by clinical myocardial infaretions. Various S f lipoprotein classes, the serum cholesterol, the beta lipoprotein cholesterol, the lipid phosphorus, and the "atherogenic index" were included in the study. The results are presented and their significance is discussed.
