ESTIMATION OF DEFORMATION REGION PARAMETERS WHILE SYMMETRYCAL AND ASYMMETRICAL COLD ROLLING OF STRIP, USING COMPUTER SIMULATION

Abstract

Computer simulation of longitudinal rolling processes with different combinations of diameters of top and bottom working rolls has been carried out. Working roll diameters had combinations: 600-600 mm, 590-600 mm, 570-600 mm, 300-600 mm. The rolling for each combination of working rolls included three passes. Initial thickness of a strip was 2 mm, the roll gap for the first stand was 1.4 mm, for the second stand it was 0.98 mm, for the third stand it was 0.66 mm. Techniques for calculation of length of contact arc, length of actual deformation region, and length of external zones are proposed.
