Formulasi Sediaan Patch Transdermal dari Rimpang Rumput Teki (Cyperus Rotundus L.) untuk Pengobatan Nyeri Sendi Pada Tikus Putih Jantan

Abstract

The research to formulate of transdermal patch of ethanolic extract of teki grass (Cyperus rotundus L.) as medicine to heal joint pain has been done. This research used three formulas (F1, F2, and F3) containing 3, 5, and 7 gram of extract respectively. The evaluation done to the patch formula included:  organoleptic, thickness, weight variation, the percentage of absorbed humidity, skin irritation test, and the length percentage. The test to measure the ability of the patch in curing the joint pain was done to the male albino rats which were induced by AgNO3 1% as the pain inductor via intra articular. The parameter observed was the amount of squeaking after they were given reflex as much as 10 times for 1 minute, in 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th , 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th hours. According on statistical analysis, the faster loss of joint pain was given by formula 3 at 4 hours.
