Abstract

A study of ecological and economic approaches to the creation of a system of integrated integrated water resources management at the basin level is presented. As an example, the basin of the Kuyalnitsky estuary of the Odessa region is considered. To create a system of integrated management of the territory's water resources and assess individual components of the water balance, methodological economic and environmental approaches were used. The work used an ecosystem approach based on the notion that "nature is an equal partner". Water resources management took into account their significant transformation under the influence of water management, as well as operational data on the hydrometeorological characteristics of the Kuyalnitsky estuary. The results obtained show that the development of an integrated water resources management system should be based on a general calculation of all components of natural and anthropogenic influence, which allows balancing the assessment of water resources and developing a rational management system.
