Abstract

The article discusses the features and functions of computing facilities (CS) as well as the operating modes of information transmission systems (ITS), which are part of automated communication networks. These systems allow for automating the processes involved in the functioning and management of information transmission. A classification of operating modes for computing means in information transmission systems is proposed, based on different disciplines of program execution. This classification makes it possible to formalize the process of operating computing means within information transmission systems using a limited number of mathematical models
