Abstract
The use of innovative learning approaches in nursing education allows students to graduate after acquiring 21st century skills. In this case, flipped learning that is one of the innovative learning approaches has attracted attention since the fact that it puts the student in the center, it is suitable for the use of active learning methods, and it includes information and communication technologies in the education process. The positive effects of flipped learning on the performances of nursing students and their 21st century skills are emphasized in the literature. However, the applicability of online flipped learning that is applied within the scope of distance education in nursing education has also become a current issue due to the pandemic, and the reflections of online flipped learning on nursing education are discussed in this review.
