REMOTE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESSES AT IFNMG - CAMPUS AVANÇADO PORTEIRINHA

Abstract

With the pandemic caused by Covid-19, it was necessary to suspend face-to-face classes and adopt remote teaching in order to continue the school year. Educational institutions had to change their entire planning and structure the educational environment to enable classes to take place in the new format. In this context, this study aims to identify the factors needed to implement remote teaching and understand the related learning processes in the context of IFNMG - Campus Avançado Porteirinha. To achieve this objective, semi-structured interviews were carried out in focus groups made up of students and teachers from the Information Systems course at IFNMG - Campus Avançado Porteirinha. The results indicate the need to reinforce humanistic practices and consider hybrid classes in order to take advantage of the benefits of remote teaching.
