Thinking in three dimensions: discovering reciprocal signaling between the extracellular matrix and nucleus and the wisdom of microenvironment and tissue architecture

Abstract

Growing up in Iran, I had a multifaceted and multicultural childhood, memories of which I brought with me to the United States as a young college student. I share here personal and professional experiences gathered over the course my scientific career and my excitement about the process of scientific discovery, as well as some good advice for scientists just embarking on their careers.
