Abstract

Chondrocyte phenotype is regulated, in part, by Rho signaling. Rho can relay mechanical signals through increased activation of Yap, a transcriptional co-regulator. Here we demonstrate that Yap nuclear translocation downstream of Rho activation is essential for suppressing chondrogenesis.
