Abstract

A novel workflow combines tunable extracellular-matrix models with cryogenic electron tomography, two methods previously incompatible, which allows nanometer-scale imaging of intact cells. The workflow allows quantifying nanometer-scale structural changes in response to changes in matrix parameters such as those occurring during cancer progression.
