Abstract

This article compares genetically encoded LifeAct and actin chromobody F-actin labeling probes with EGFP-actin for their applicability in cultured neurons, using unbiased image analyses. Specific differences in dendritic arborization, spine motility, and morphology, especially important in structural plasticity studies, are highlighted.
