Abstract
The role of the focal adhesion adaptor paxillin in regulating the Rab5 GTPase is evaluated. Paxillin, through modulation of HDAC6 activity and thereby microtubule acetylation, was shown to regulate Rab5 activity, as well as Rab5-associated vesicle distribution and motility.
