Abstract

The mechanical properties of cancer cells, which are largely determined by their deformability and contractility, play a critical role in multiple steps of metastasis. Our study identifies key components in triple-negative breast cancer cells that convert high extracellular glucose levels into changes in cell mechanotype and behavior relevant to cancer metastasis.
