Abstract

This study investigates which RhoGEF locally activates RhoA at sites of local tight junction loss. We find that p115RhoGEF activates Rho flares during local tight junction remodeling and plays a critical role in maintaining junctional RhoA to support apical actomyosin and cell-cell junctions to preserve epithelial barrier function.
